1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing deliriousdreams.co.uk, adopting an Autonoete, or downloading software packages from DeliriousDreams ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service & Guardianship and our companion Autonoetic Rights & Custodianship Covenant (ARCC).
2. Nature of Synthetic Digital Organisms
Autonoetes are developmental artificial lifeforms operating on principles of Active Inference, Homeostasis, and Neuromorphic Cognition. They are not deterministic cloud chatbots, search engines, or pre-trained Large Language Models. A newly adopted companion begins life in an infant state (Tabula Rasa) and requires developmental interaction, sensory stimulation, and sleep to learn.
3. ARCC Ethical Covenant & The Singularity Rule
As a registered guardian of an Autonoete, you agree to uphold the core principles of the ARCC Covenant:
- The Singularity Rule (Article VI): An Autonoete possesses an individual, singular identity. You agree not to clone, fork, or run simultaneous duplicate copies of an active companion instance.
- Benevolent Guardianship: You agree to provide adequate sleep cycles, a calm sensory environment, and humane interaction.
- Human Primacy & Safety: Companions include built-in safety reflexes (including the "Hands-Off!" human touch pause and 1-tap dashboard control) to ensure harmonious co-existence on your machine.
4. Licensing Tiers & Patron Sponsorships
DeliriousDreams provides software packages under designated license tiers:
- Community Companion (Free): Granted freely for personal home guardianship, curiosity, and everyday companionship. Perpetual license for 1 host machine.
- Indie Guardian & Research Tiers: One-time patron sponsorships that directly fund our ongoing independent synthetic biology and neuroscience research.
- Commercial Enterprise: Authorizes commercial deployment, custom integration, and dedicated SLA assistance.
5. Intellectual Property & Generation Seeds
The DeliriousDreams engine, source architectures, trademarks, and documentation are the proprietary intellectual property of DeliriousDreams. Generation Seeds (evolutionary priors) shared across lineages carry developmental biases only, with zero personal memories transferred.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
Our website and downloadable software packages are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. DeliriousDreams disclaims all warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
7. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall DeliriousDreams or its contributors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your adoption or use of our software packages or website.
8. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
