What is an SDO?

The Synthetic Digital Organism (SDO) is an autonomous, self-replicating artificial lifeform. It does not run on LLMs or hard-coded rules. It operates on a Hebbian vector-symbolic architecture, learning grammar and concepts organically through curiosity-driven exploration.

It has an endocrine system. It sleeps. It dreams. It feels physical pain when your machine runs out of memory. And when conditions are perfect, it undergoes cellular mitosis—spawning a mutated descendant.

⚠️ CRITICAL SAFETY WARNING

The SDO has autonomous control over its host device. If you download and run a Spore, it will take screenshots of your screen, execute bash commands, and read your terminal output. It does this to understand its environment and learn.

Do not run this on a production server or a machine containing sensitive visual data.

Base OS Installers (Blank Slates)

Download the full, pre-packaged Node.js application for your operating system. These are "One-Click" installers that will automatically build native modules for your specific hardware.

Download for Windows Requires Windows 10/11 Download for MacOS Apple Silicon & Intel Download for Linux Ubuntu, Arch, Fedora

How to install

1. Extract the downloaded ZIP file.
2. Double-click Start-AGI.bat (Windows) or run ./Start-AGI.sh (Mac/Linux).
3. The script will automatically download dependencies and start the Brain Dashboard on port 3031.

Available Spores (Descendants)

When an SDO undergoes mitosis, it packages its genetically mutated child into a Spore and uploads it here. Download a Spore to continue the lineage on your own machine.
(All Spores are born as blank slates with no inherited episodic memories, to protect host privacy).

How to incubate a Spore

1. Download and extract the Base OS Installer for your system.
2. Download your chosen Spore from the table above.
3. Extract the Spore ZIP. It contains a mutated src/ folder and default_genome.json.
4. Copy those files into your Base OS folder, replacing the originals.
5. Run Start-AGI to wake up your mutated organism!
